We continue our tour of the island of Tasmania, we headed to the city of Launceston, which is located to the north, and is the second city of the island. One of the main points of tourism is the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, noted for its art colony, design objects and to provide evidence of local history. Other places of interest, worth visiting are the Chinese temple and if you travel with children do not forget the fun park.

Known Japanese macaques

The island of Tasmania has 18 parks, many of whom probably will cross by accident, one of the most beautiful in the country is the sanctuary Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair, declared World Heritage Sites, is two hours away Launceston.

Some of its deeper areas have not been trodden by man. In summer, the main activities are horseback riding, trekking tours for adventurous and exciting water sports or fishing expeditions, however, offered winter snow fun activities. Few days to live inside these scenarios, the tourist should know that it is forbidden to camp anywhere.

For discerning travelers can you stay in comfortable and romantic inns with spa services? One hour from the Tasmanian capital is located on Mt Field National Park, trekking enthusiasts known internally for three series of magical waterfalls: the Russell, the Horseshoe and Lady Barron. In winter, the attraction is the skiing.
