Rio de Janeiro: The 2011 Hollywood
Maybe it’s because the famous Cristo de Rio de Janeiro is now one of the Seven Wonders of the World , or perhaps because the producers have recently discovered the richness of the culture of Brazil , but what is certain is that this past year we have seen Rio several times in sets of films from Hollywood .And there’s more to come.
This year we have seen the release of Rio , the film’s sympathetic parrot that is facing the paradise beaches and Brazilian rhythms.While the film is animated, takes us to Brazil .
We have also found the legendary touring slums of Rio de Janeiro with Fast and the Furious 5 , a film where we see Brazil at full speed.
Another major Hollywood productions this year will take us to Rio de Janeiro is the highly anticipated final film in the Twilight series .The honeymoon of the protagonists is in Brazil .Again, warm water beaches and a drama of vampires .
Apparently the extra production in Rio generates publicity, besides being an excellent location to shoot.
